14/20 points. 2000 La Crema Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast. Price $11.99 at Costco. Light yellow-gold, very clear with hints of green. The nice but one dimensional nose reveals peach and vanilla notes. The palate is much the same, but has the addition of white peach. Just right acids provide a good balanced palate. While not a blockbuster wine, it's lack of over-powering oak makes it one wine I will buy again.

I apologize for the lack of reviews this month. On May 14th, my brother-in-law James Bridges was working in a cone zone construction site when he was hit by a suspected drunk driver in Sacramento. He had severe head and body injuries and never regained consciousness. He passed away on May 27th, 2002. He leaves behind a wife and 5 children along with a large loving family that has been devastated by these tragic events. He was 32 years old.
